PowerPoint Add-Ins

PowerPoint add-ins are plugins that extend the functionality of Microsoft PowerPoint by adding new tools and features. With PowerPoint add-ins I can improve productivity, automate tasks, add new design elements, and provide access to additional features.

Basically, I make quite specialized PowerPoint add-ins focused on creating specific presentations, the use case of which roughly corresponds to the following process:

Before automation:

  • There is already a polished presentation for management at the entrance, it needs to be updated with new business indicators.
  • Various reports are obtained from the automated system and exported to Excel in various ways.
  • Sometimes Excel files are sent by specialists from related departments, since the one who prepares the reports does not have access to the necessary automation system.
  • All files are stored in one or more folders on the disk of the controller, the one who prepares the reports.
  • Based on the received Excel files, the reporting specialist manually updates presentation diagrams, graphs and other visualization elements.
  • And also adds some analytical conclusions.
  • The new presentation is ready for the management.

After automation with PowerPoint add-in:

As a result of automation, the report preparation time is reduced several times, and the probability of input errors is also significantly reduced.
